This austenitic chromium-nickel alloy with molybdenum and nitrogen is durable and corrosion-resistant, especially against chloric and non-oxidizing acids. It has good heat resistance, usable continuously between 425–861°C in water. Easy to form and machine, it’s commonly used in food processing equipment, boat fittings, bolts, nuts, and springs.
